Boxes of 35mm slides belonging to families long gone, opened up the question of memory, culture and identity.
These appropriated slides have been spliced and contorted to create a disjointed harmony. The slightly humorous and surreal outcomes give a nod, not only to our fading memories, but to our present day selfies in a culture that appears to have an obsession with public identity. By disassociating the person fromthe familiar they take on a new persona that alters in accordancewith the viewer.
